At the Grand Floral Parade Sunday afternoon, clowns, plumbers, realtors, dogs, and royalty marched, walked, biked, and rode down Route 101 in Florence to conclude the 119th Rhody Days festival. More than 100 groups took part in the parade, which was watched by thousands camped out along the nearly two-mile-long stretch of Route 101.
Earlier in the week, the festival began with the crowning of the King and Queen.
In between, there were classic cars to consider, vendors vending on Maple Street in Old Town, fried food, a Ferris wheel, games of skill (and chance), motorcycles and of course rhododendrons.
